This burger recipe is absolutely amazing. They are the best burgers you’ll ever come across. They’re full of flavor, and so addicting.
INGREDIENTS
- 85 % lean ground beef, When choosing beef for burgers, I prefer to go with a less lean choice. This gives the burgers a wonderful flavor from the natural fats that are present in the meat.
If you would like it to be more lean you could go with the 90% lean but I personally would not go beyond that level of leanness as your burgers may come out on the dry side.
It is also important to note that you should not go below 80% for leanness as your burgers will come out super greasy.
- Rotisserie chicken seasoning, This right here is the star of the show. Without this seasoning, your burgers will simply not taste good. The seasonings that are present in rotisserie chicken seasoning make absolutely the perfect combination for an amazing burger.
I believe it is also as important to mention the brand that I use because Rotisserie Chicken seasoning may differ from brand to brand.
Badia Rotisserie Chicken Seasoning is my go to seasoning for this application and many other applications. I always buy the 22 oz container because I love it, and I use it so much. - Adobo seasoning (all-purpose), This I also believe is a must have to get the best burgers that you can dream of.
- Sugar, Ok you might say sugar? In burgers? Yes! You truly need to add this in. As I was developing this recipe it donned on me that most addictive foods have sugar in them.
Why do we love fast foods so much? Why do we love potato chips so much, or any of these addictive foods? It is the sugar.
The sugar truly marries the flavors of all the seasonings that are present in these burgers together to form the perfect burgers.
You will definitely be going for seconds. So make sure to make plenty of burgers. You can always freeze whatever you don’t need right away. - Freshly grounded black pepper, There is no need to ask why you need pepper. Pepper makes everything better.
- Garlic powder, Back in the day, I used to add finely minced garlic and onions into our burgers, but I thought hey, the powdered form is much better. It gives the flavor that I am looking for, and it doesn’t cause the burger to fall apart like the minced stuff does.
- Onion powder, Garlic powder and Onion powder together add sweetness and an aromatic flavor to the burgers.
- You might be wondering why we did not add any salt. Both the rotisserie chicken seasoning, and the adobo seasoning have plenty of salt, so we do not need to add any extra.

GRILLING
Whichever grill you choose it doesn’t really matter as long as you monitor the temperature.
We have recently bought the Blackstone Flat Top Grill. To grill the burgers, we heat the grill to medium and grill them until well done.
The cooking time may vary from grill to grill depending on the heat setting that you have, but you can generally tell if the burgers are done when they start to firm up.
If you want to be absolutely sure if the burgers are well done, you can always use a meat thermometer. Follow the directions that come with your meat thermometer for best results.
Don’t forget to serve these burgers with these amazing Soft And Fluffy Vegan Gluten Free Burger Buns.
BROILING IN THE OVEN
It is always the season for burgers. Even if it is 20 F outside and snowing you can still have burgers.
Preheat the oven to broil on high. Place the top rack one rack lower than the top rack.
Using a roasting pan that is fitted with a rack, place the burger onto the rack, and place the burgers into the oven.
Broil on high for 6 minutes on the first side. Remove from the oven. Turn over to the opposite side, and place back into the oven for an additional 3 minutes. Your burgers should be well done by now.
Remove from oven and serve as desired.
FREEZING
You don’t have to have these burgers the day of making them. You can pre-prepare them for a BBQ day with some friends and family, or for a later date that you wish to enjoy them.
You can even double the amount of burgers you are making and store extra for later.
To do so, make sure to separate them using parchment paper. Place them in a freezer bag, and store in the freezer for when ready to use.
The cooking time will not be the same if you are grilling the burgers while they are still frozen.
