Chicken Taco and Chicken Burrito Seasoning
This homemade taco seasoning is all you need. It smells so aromatic. It can be used in so many Mexican recipes, and more. You’ll want to keep this taco seasoning stashed in your seasoning cabinet.
Equipment
- Small jar with a tight lid
- Small whisk
- Small bowl
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon organic onion powder
- 1 tablespoon organic garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon organic chili powder
- 1/2 tablespoon organic ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon organic oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon organic black pepper
- 1 teaspoon organic chili lime seasoning this is a special Moroccan spice, and if you do not have it, that's ok. But it does make it taste better.
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients into the bowl and whisk together until well combined. Transfer into a small jar with a lid, and save for when needed. Store in a cool dry place.
Notes
I like to use this seasoning for whenever I make chicken or chicken tacos, chicken fajitas, or chicken burritos, but I am sure that you can use it in many other variations as well.
For example, you can season some vegetables with it, add a little olive oil, and grill them, and you got yourself a whole bunch of deliciousness.
You can also use it for bean dishes. As a busy mom, I place my chicken in a crock pot, season it, and let it cook for a few hours. Then, when it’s time for dinner, shred it and serve it with the taco helpings, or make burritos and bake them for 10 minutes.
I can see myself using this seasoning in many other dishes. The key here is to be creative and don’t be afraid of making mistakes.
