Salmon Recipe In The Oven With Soy Sauce

This oven baked salmon recipe is so quick and easy. It is definitely a crowd pleaser. Salmon filets are marinated with soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, olive oil, and spices. Then they are baked to perfection in the oven. It is savory with a slight hint of sweetness. Perfect for a healthy dinner, or for when you have friends over for dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds salmon fillets
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 3 packed tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 diced jalapeno optional
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • Some freshly chopped cilantro for garnish optional, but recommended

  • 15x10x2 oven safe glass baking dish
  • Spoon

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F
  2. Into a glass baking dish, add in the 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger, ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper, 3 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon parsley, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, diced jalapeno (optional), ¼ cup olive, and ½ cup soy sauce.
  3. Give all these ingredients a quick mix.
  4. Spread out the salmon fillets into the baking dish. Make sure that each salmon fillet gets contact with this delicious marinade.
  5. Marinade salmon for 10 minutes on each side.
  6. Place the baking dish into the bottom rack of a preheated oven. Bake for 10 minutes. You can tell that the salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork, or if you see a white substance on the surface of the salmon fillets.
  7. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro, and serve.

Notes

You can serve this dish with some rice, stir-fried broccoli or roasted asparagus, and some mixed greens berry salad.
